May Still Be Inside Your Home

Scarborough covers a big stretch of east Toronto, and its houses span most of the last century. Birch Cliff and Cliffside, along Kingston Road near the Bluffs, hold some of its oldest homes. Wexford, Dorset Park, Clairlea, Bendale and Agincourt filled in with brick bungalows, back-splits and side-splits in the 1950s and 1960s. Malvern and L’Amoreaux added townhouses, semis and detached homes through the 1970s and 1980s, the newest subdivisions are up in Morningside Heights near the Rouge Valley, and the condo towers cluster around Scarborough Town Centre.
Each era collects dirt in its own way. In the older bungalows and split-levels the ductwork is usually original, and it has often outlived a couple of furnaces, a finished basement and a kitchen renovation or two. Drywall dust, pet hair and fine grey lint settle in the panned return runs between the basement joists, and split-levels add long runs up to the bedrooms, where airflow is often weakest. The 1970s and 1980s townhouses tend to have the furnace in a tight closet with a short, dusty return. In the condos around the Town Centre, dust packs into the fan coil and the short supply runs that sit right beside the rooms you live in.
Our office is at 4949 Bathurst Street in North York, and Scarborough is a straight run east along the 401, part of our regular Toronto routes. On every visit we look over the furnace and duct layout first, then connect our truck-mounted negative-pressure vacuum and brush the supply runs (and the return side on our Comfort and Luxury packages) while the vacuum pulls the loosened debris out of the house. Packages cover a typical home with up to 10 vents (15 on the Luxury package), extra vents are $12 each, there is no trip fee to Scarborough, and we confirm the total by phone before you book. Our duct cleaning prices page has the package details. We are a family-run CNADCA member, cleaning ducts since 1980 and rated 4.8 on Google from 300+ reviews.
Dryer vents in Scarborough houses work hard. In a bungalow the dryer usually sits in the basement and vents out through the wall just above grade, where lint and winter snow can jam the flap, and in back-splits and townhouses the run can turn several times before it reaches outside. We clear the full line with high-pressure air tools, from the dryer to the exterior hood. Main floor or basement vents are $280, second floor $320 and attic $480, confirmed after a brief inspection, and most jobs take 45 to 90 minutes. Details are on our dryer vent cleaning page.
Plenty of Scarborough furnaces sit in an unfinished corner of the basement or a tight townhouse closet, and the blower compartment is where the dust really builds up. Furnace cleaning is done in the same visit as your ducts, so a clean blower is not re-dirtied by dusty ductwork. The Comfort package ($399) adds the return side and J-channel cleaning, and the Luxury package ($499) adds the furnace blower compartment clean plus sanitizing of the ductwork with Benefect, a natural product. A full furnace cleaning can also be added to the visit, priced by quote. We clean; we do not repair furnaces, handle gas or refrigerant, or certify safety. Anything unsafe gets pointed out and photographed for a licensed HVAC technician. More on our furnace cleaning page.
With more than 45 years across the GTA, our trained technicians have cleaned everything from older homes to new builds and condos in and around Scarborough. We know local ductwork and treat every home with care.
We don’t use weak portable vacuums. Our high-suction, truck-mounted compression systems pull debris out of your home and into our truck, ensuring a mess-free, deep clean.
Clogged ducts make your HVAC system work harder, and the dust they circulate can bother people with asthma or allergies. A thorough cleaning restores proper airflow.
No hidden fees and no bait and switch. You will know the exact rate for your home or business in Scarborough before we start, with the price posted up front.
Our reputation in Scarborough is built on word of mouth. We use drop cloths and protective gear to keep your space clean, and we back every job with before-and-after photos.
Unnecessary services are never pushed. If your system is in good condition, we’ll tell you.

We clean ducts right across Scarborough. In the southwest that means Oakridge, Clairlea, Kennedy Park, Ionview, Birch Cliff and Cliffside, off Victoria Park, Warden, Kennedy Road and Danforth Road. Through the middle we work Wexford, Maryvale, Dorset Park, Bendale and Woburn along Lawrence, Ellesmere and McCowan, and in the north Agincourt, Tam O’Shanter, L’Amoreaux, Steeles and Milliken, between Sheppard, Finch and Steeles Avenue. Out east we cover Cliffcrest, Scarborough Village, Guildwood, West Hill, Highland Creek, Centennial, Port Union, West Rouge, Morningside Heights and Malvern, from Kingston Road up Morningside Avenue and Markham Road.
Most of what we clean here are detached bungalows, split-levels and two-storey houses, along with semis and the townhouse complexes common in Malvern and L’Amoreaux. Those townhouses often put the furnace, water heater and dryer in one small utility room, which makes it easy to do the ducts and the dryer vent in a single visit. Condo suites are a different job. The towers around Scarborough Town Centre run on a fan coil in a closet, a few short supply runs and a long dryer duct to a shared riser, so we bring compact equipment sized for a suite and work around your building’s service elevator booking. Our condo duct cleaning page explains how those visits run.
On the commercial side we clean for offices and units around Consilium Place and Progress Avenue, plazas along Sheppard and Finch, and businesses on the Golden Mile stretch of Eglinton Avenue East; see commercial duct cleaning. We open at 8am seven days a week, so a weekend visit for a shop or office is easy to arrange. Just north across Steeles we also clean ducts in Markham, and east across the Rouge River in Pickering.
Our packages are $329, $399 and $499 and cover a typical home with up to 10 vents (15 on the Luxury package), with extra vents at $12 each. Many Scarborough bungalows and townhouses fall inside that count, while a back-split with a finished basement may have a few more. There is no trip fee to Scarborough, and we confirm the total by phone before you book.
Usually, yes, especially the first time. Many 1950s and 1960s homes in Wexford, Dorset Park, Bendale and Agincourt still run on their original ductwork, and plenty have never had a proper cleaning after renovations, new flooring or a finished basement. The panned returns between the basement joists tend to hold the most. After that first cleaning, every three to five years is enough for most families.
Yes. Condo suites around the Town Centre usually have a fan coil unit in a closet, a few short supply runs and a dryer duct that runs to a shared riser. We clean all three with compact equipment sized for a suite. Tell us your building’s rules for the service elevator and booking windows when you call, and we schedule the visit around them.
Industry guidance from NADCA suggests every three to five years for most homes. Go sooner after a renovation, with pets or allergies in the house, or when you move into a home and nobody knows when the ducts were last done. Between cleanings, CMHC recommends checking the furnace filter monthly during the heating season and cleaning or replacing it as needed.
Register your number on the National Do Not Call List and hang up on any unsolicited call offering cheap duct cleaning, especially one that claims to be from a utility or a government program. Do not confirm your address or book on the spot. When you do want a cleaning, call a company you found yourself and ask for the full price before anyone comes to the door.
Dryer vent cleaning is $280 for a main floor or basement dryer, $320 for a second floor and $480 for an attic run, confirmed after a brief inspection of the length, turns and access. Most visits take 45 to 90 minutes. Dryer vent cleaning is priced separately from our duct cleaning packages, but it can be added to the same visit, so you can have both done in one appointment.
