Ontario Wildfire Smoke
May Still Be Inside Your Home

Etobicoke runs from Lake Ontario up to Steeles, between the Humber River and Etobicoke Creek, and its houses change a lot along the way. Down by the lake, Mimico, New Toronto, Long Branch and Alderwood mix older houses and small post-war bungalows with new infill builds, and Humber Bay Shores adds a wall of condo towers along Lake Shore Boulevard West. Through the middle, The Kingsway, Humber Valley Village and Princess-Rosethorn have larger homes from the 1920s to the 1960s on mature, treed lots, while Eringate, Markland Wood, West Deane Park and Richview are mostly bungalows, back-splits and side-splits. North of the 401, Rexdale and Thistletown are largely post-war, and Humberwood is newer.
The age of the house usually tells us what we will find. In the post-war bungalows the ducts are small, original and often never cleaned, with years of drywall dust, pet hair and lint in the panned returns between the basement joists. In the older central Etobicoke homes, ductwork has often been extended or rerouted through several renovations, which leaves debris in the joints and dead ends. A musty smell from an older basement needs the water problem fixed first; after that, cleaning clears out what has settled. Infill construction on the next lot adds fine dust that gets pulled into the return vents too.
Our office is at 4949 Bathurst Street in North York. Etobicoke is west along the 401 and down the 427, part of our regular Toronto routes, and there is no trip fee for an Etobicoke job. Each visit starts with a look at the furnace and duct layout. Then our truck-mounted negative-pressure vacuum goes on the system while we brush every supply run, plus the returns on our Comfort and Luxury packages, so the loosened dust leaves the house instead of landing in your rooms. Packages cover up to 10 vents (15 on the Luxury package), extra vents are $12 each, and the total is confirmed by phone before you book; full details are on our duct cleaning prices page. We are a family-run CNADCA member, cleaning since 1980 and rated 4.8 on Google from 300+ reviews.
Dryer vents in Etobicoke bungalows can run a long way. The laundry is often in the basement, and the duct may cross the ceiling to reach an outside wall. Homes that moved the laundry during a renovation sometimes end up with a long stretch of foil or plastic flex, and dryer manufacturers recommend rigid metal duct, never plastic, so we point it out when we see it. We clear the full line with high-pressure air tools, from the machine to the outside hood. Main floor or basement vents are $280, second floor $320 and attic $480, confirmed after a brief inspection, usually in 45 to 90 minutes. See our dryer vent cleaning page.
Furnace cleaning in Etobicoke can be added to the same visit as the ducts, priced by quote. The Luxury package ($499) already includes a blower compartment clean, where dust coats the fan blades and cuts airflow, along with sanitizing of the ductwork with Benefect, a natural product, while the Comfort package ($399) covers the supply and return sides plus the J-channel. We clean only: no repairs, gas work, refrigerant or safety certification. When we see something unsafe, we point it out and photograph it for a licensed HVAC technician. More on our furnace cleaning page.
With more than 45 years across the GTA, our trained technicians have cleaned everything from older homes to new builds and condos in and around Etobicoke. We know local ductwork and treat every home with care.
We don’t use weak portable vacuums. Our high-suction, truck-mounted compression systems pull debris out of your home and into our truck, ensuring a mess-free, deep clean.
Clogged ducts make your HVAC system work harder, and the dust they circulate can bother people with asthma or allergies. A thorough cleaning restores proper airflow.
No hidden fees and no bait and switch. You will know the exact rate for your home or business in Etobicoke before we start, with the price posted up front.
Our reputation in Etobicoke is built on word of mouth. We use drop cloths and protective gear to keep your space clean, and we back every job with before-and-after photos.
Unnecessary services are never pushed. If your system is in good condition, we’ll tell you.

In south Etobicoke we clean in Humber Bay Shores, Mimico, New Toronto, Long Branch and Alderwood, along Lake Shore Boulevard West, Park Lawn Road, Royal York Road, Islington Avenue, Kipling Avenue, Evans Avenue and Horner Avenue. Central Etobicoke takes in The Kingsway, Sunnylea, Stonegate-Queensway, Humber Valley Village, Islington Village, Princess-Rosethorn, Markland Wood, Eringate, West Deane Park and Richview, off Bloor Street West, Dundas Street West, The Queensway, Eglinton Avenue West and Martin Grove Road. In the north we work Rexdale, Thistletown, Kingsview Village, Humberwood and West Humber-Clairville, along Rexdale Boulevard, Albion Road, Finch Avenue West and Highway 27.
Most of the houses here are detached bungalows, back-splits and two-storeys, with semis and townhouses in between and a growing number of new custom builds on lots where a bungalow used to stand. Larger homes in The Kingsway and Humber Valley Village often have more vents than a package includes, so we count them with you by phone and price the extras at $12 each before you book. Condo suites in Humber Bay Shores, along Lake Shore in Mimico and near Islington and Kipling stations run on fan coils and long dryer runs to shared risers, so we bring compact equipment for those visits. Our condo duct cleaning page explains how a suite visit works.
We also clean for businesses: offices and light industrial units along the Highway 427 corridor and around Dixon Road near the airport, plus shops and offices on The Queensway and Bloor Street West; see commercial duct cleaning. Weekend visits are easy to arrange for shops and offices, since we work 8am to 6pm, seven days a week. West across Etobicoke Creek we clean ducts in Mississauga too, and north of Steeles in Brampton and Vaughan.
Not a special one, but they reward a thorough one. Many small bungalows in Alderwood, Long Branch and New Toronto still have their original, narrow ducts, often never cleaned, with dust and lint packed into the panned returns between the basement joists. We look at the layout first, then brush and vacuum every run. Many of these homes fall within the up to 10 vents (15 on the Luxury package) our packages include.
Yes, most people do. The vacuum unit stays on our truck outside, so the loudest part of the job and the collected debris stay out of the house, and the system is kept under negative pressure so loosened dust is pulled out rather than blown into your rooms. We need clear access to every vent and the furnace, and pets are happier in a closed room for the visit.
It removes the dust, pet hair, lint and construction debris that settle in your supply and return ducts and furnace blower, so the system moves air freely and stops recirculating that buildup. The U.S. EPA suggests considering it when ducts are clogged with dust and debris, show substantial visible mould or have had rodents or insects. It has not been shown to prevent health problems, and we say so.
Compare the total for your whole home, not the headline number. Some low advertised prices cover a set number of vents and charge extra for the rest, or never say which parts of the system get cleaned. Our packages are $329, $399 and $499 for up to 10 vents (15 on the Luxury package), extra vents are $12 each, there is no trip fee to Etobicoke, and we confirm the total by phone before you book.
Yes. In a condo the dryer duct usually runs a long way to a shared riser, sometimes through a booster fan, so lint builds up and drying slows down. We clean the run from the machine back and check the booster fan where one is fitted, and we can do the fan coil and supply vents in the same visit. Let us know your building’s service elevator rules when you book.
Yes. In Etobicoke, as everywhere we work, furnace cleaning can be added to the duct visit so one does not re-dirty the other. Our Luxury package includes the furnace blower compartment clean, and a full furnace cleaning can be added to any package, priced by quote. We clean only and do not repair furnaces or do gas work; anything unsafe is photographed for a licensed HVAC technician.
